People who fight against imperialist wars and militarization, capitalist exploitation, fascism, patriarchy, and the destruction of nature are confronted with the widespread terror of the ruling classes, manifesting in the form of arrests. Around the world, hundreds of thousands of political prisoners fight for their ideals under extremely difficult conditions, deprived of the most basic human right of freedom.
Through isolation, torture, obstacles to medical treatment and release, communication bans, and other legal violations, the aim is to break the will of the prisoners and force their capitulation. From Turkey and Kurdistan to Palestine, from India and Iran to the United States and the Philippines, from Peru to the EU, political prisoners worldwide resist repression and defend their ideals and dignity.
It is our responsibility to support the resistance of political prisoners, strengthen solidarity and fight for their freedom. Supporting all political prisoners who have been incarcerated in the fight against the imperialist-capitalist system, and standing in solidarity with them, wherever they may be, is an internationalist duty.
As the “Prisoners’ Voice Platform” (TSP), we are organizing an International Solidarity Conference with Political Prisoners on December 20 and 21 in Paris to strengthen solidarity with those who risk their lives in prisons. Speakers from various continents and countries will discuss the following topics and work on perspectives:
Class struggle and prisons in historical and current contexts
Experiences of resistance in prisons
Women and LGBTI+ in prisons
Prisons and international law
How can we strengthen international solidarity with political prisoners?
Among the speakers will be political activists who have themselves been imprisoned.
We invite all democratic institutions and people who care about solidarity with political prisoners to participate in our conference and help strengthen international solidarity.

About the “Prisoners’ Voice Platform”
The “Prisoners’ Voice Platform” (TSP) was established to support political prisoners, bring their struggles and voices into the democratic public sphere, and make international solidarity an unbreakable force of resistance.
To this end, TSP regularly publishes letters, poems, stories, cartoons, images, and other works by prisoners and is part of the resistance against the attacks of bourgeois states on political prisoners.
TSP works on various levels through statements, press conferences, panel discussions, conferences, information booths, exhibitions, demonstrations, and rallies to amplify the voice of prisoners and strengthen solidarity.
TSP supports political prisoners both materially and morally and works for communication, coordination and solidarity among the families of prisoners.
