FURTHER MEMBERS OF ESP, SGDF AND ÖGK HAVE BEEN ARRESTED!

Arrests and detentions will not break the revolutionary spirit! Freedom for the socialists!

FURTHER MEMBERS OF ESP, SGDF AND ÖGK HAVE BEEN ARRESTED!

The attacks against socialists and revolutionaries, in the form of arrests and detentions by the fascist Erdoğan dictatorship, continue unabated.

The house searches and arrests carried out on the morning of 12 June against members of the ESP, ÖGK and SGDF are a continuation of the political pogrom of 3 February and the arrests of 1 May.

Despite the repression, however, no one doubts that the socialists will continue to keep hope alive, just as they have done so far.

On the morning of 12 June, further arrests were made in Turkey and Kurdistan targeting members of the ESP and the SGDF. In Amed, the two ESP socialists Fethiye Ok and Soner Çiçek were arrested without any official reason being given.

Fethiye Ok and Soner Çiçek have been arrested on several occasions in the past and have consequently served long prison sentences. Fethiye Ok, among other things, was only released on 18 March 2025 after nine years in prison.

Yet the two socialists continued their struggle unabated, both inside and outside the prison walls.

On the same day, 12 June, ÖGK and SGDF members Bensu Özkan, Poyraz Aksu and Rümeysa Batıran were also arrested during house searches in Eskişehir.

These arrests are part of a series of attacks on young people in the run-up to the NATO summit taking place in July.

But attacks of this kind, aimed at crushing the revolutionary movement and driving it off the streets, are in vain. The arrests and bans in the run-up to the imperialist NATO summit are a sign of their fear.

Yet the determined struggle of socialists and revolutionaries, together with the pent-up anger of the people, will only serve to fuel these fears further.

Just as the socialists who were unlawfully and arbitrarily arrested and detained on 3 February have shown that they will neither remain silent nor allow their organisations to be shattered by these attacks, so too will these attacks fail to achieve that.

We condemn the arrests targeting the ESP, ÖGK and SGDF and demand the immediate release of the detained socialists.

The socialists unlawfully detained on 3 February must be released immediately.

Freedom for all
political prisoners!
