Israel is trying to kill political prisoners through isolation and torture!

The Zionist state of Israel is intensifying the isolation and torture of Palestinian political prisoners. It is particularly seeking to assassinate Palestinian political leaders held captive in prisons.
Statements by the Palestinian Prisoner’s Society (PPS) and other prisoners’ rights organizations indicate that the torture of Palestinian political leaders, most of whom are held in Megiddo and Janot prisons, has become systematic.
Parallel to the ongoing genocide in Gaza, the escalation of torture and attacks with police dogs against Palestinian prisoners, especially political leaders, is a reflection of the Israeli state’s fascist and genocidal policies in prisons. Reports indicate that these attacks have intensified, particularly in the isolation units at Megiddo Prison and during the frequent transfers between Megiddo and Janot prisons.
It is no coincidence that, just days after the release of a video of Israeli fascist minister Itamar Ben Gvir threatening political leader Marwan Barghouti with death in his cell in Janot Prison, captive Palestinian leader Hassan Salameh was brutally attacked during his transfer from Megiddo Prison to Janot, including attempted murder with heavy blows to the head. Other imprisoned political leaders are reported to have been subjected to similar treatment. A few months earlier, it was reported that Ahmed Saadat, the imprisoned Secretary General of the PFLP, was also subjected to a brutal attack.
In addition to the absolute isolation of prisoners in Israeli prisons, where even lawyers have very limited access, there are reports that prisoners are beaten until they are covered in blood, and injured and sick prisoners are left to die without treatment.
The Zionist state of Israel’s brutal attacks and practices against Palestinian prisoners are part of the ongoing genocide against Palestinians in Gaza. In Gaza, where dozens, sometimes hundreds, of Palestinians are massacred daily, and dozens more are starved to death, Israel is committing crimes against humanity every day.
