Prisoners Voice Platform (TSP)
Those who struggle for a life free from oppression and barbarism, without borders and classes, are oppressed, killed, or thrown into prisons everywhere in the world.
The prisons of the Turkish state, which wages war against the Kurdish people with colonialist and racist policies that show no bounds in fascist oppression and barbarism against social opposition, are filled with thousands of political prisoners, and the number of political prisoners is constantly increasing.
Everyone fighting against the imperialist-capitalist system, fascism, racism, workers demanding their rights, laborers, those opposing the dirty war and occupation in Kurdistan, Alevis and national minorities demanding equal citizenship and democratic rights, those fighting for justice for their murdered relatives, women fighting against the male-dominated system and violence against women, youth speaking for their future, honorable intellectuals expressing their thoughts, journalists writing the truth, those opposing the destruction of nature and pollution of the climate, human rights advocates, and lawyers are being arrested and sentenced to long prison terms.
The Prison Policy of the Turkish State
One of the fundamental goals of the Turkish state is to break and subdue the revolutionary will of political prisoners through attacks such as torture, repression, isolation, exile, harassment, and rape.
The treatment of sick prisoners is hindered, leading them to death. Every year, dozens of prisoners are killed in prisons through torture.
The executions of prisoners are carried out arbitrarily, and they are not released despite serving their sentences.
Books, newspapers, and magazines sent to prisoners are confiscated, and their right to correspondence is restricted.
Cells are raided, belongings are destroyed, and hygiene and cleaning materials purchased from the canteen are confiscated.
Prisoners are isolated through 24-hour camera surveillance, the prohibition of social activities, and depriving them of fresh air and sunlight.
Sexual violence against women and LGBTI+ individuals is practically rewarded by the state.
Strip searches and mouth searches are becoming widespread as a torture method.
The Turkish state has expanded the use of isolation prisons, which they call “High-Security Prisons,” and continuously develops new models from the first letter of the alphabet to the letter Y to be able to take political prisoners into custody.
Unable to take prisoners inside with these attacks, the state also attacks the relatives of prisoners and those who support prisoners outside.
Prisoners Voice Platform
Prisoners Voice Platform (TSP) was established to support political prisoners in the fascist prisons of the Turkish state, to convey their struggle and voice to the European democratic public, and to build international solidarity with prisoners.
For these purposes, TSP regularly publishes a magazine called “Free Thought Post” in which letters, poems, stories, cartoons, and artwork sent by prisoners are featured, and attacks by the state against prisoners are exposed.
TSP strives to make the voice of prisoners heard and to grow solidarity through statements, announcements, press conferences, panels, stands, art exhibitions, marches, and rallies.
TSP supports political prisoners materially and spiritually, emphasizing communication, coordination, and solidarity among prisoner families.
In the struggle for a limitless and classless world, TSP embraces the immortals and the values they have created, maintaining communication and solidarity with the families of the immortals.
TSP supports class struggles in different countries and embraces political prisoners captured in these struggles, working to expand international solidarity and joint struggle with prisoner organizations in other countries.
TSP calls on everyone who stands for humanity’s freedom and equality to support political prisoners, correspond with them, and grow material and spiritual solidarity.
Freedom for Political Prisoners!
Long Live International Solidarity!
